Houndstooth Tattoo Expands in Buttonwood Studio
Houndstooth Tattoo Studio recently doubled their space in the 1022 Buttonwood Studio encompassing both the first and second floor of the building.

Houndstooth moved into the neighborhood after their space in Fishtown was redeveloped a few years ago. Evan Lovett, the top dog, also runs a public art nonprofit called VURT Creative which is best known for the “Local Critters” mural series seen through the City.
The space which once served as a photo studio has been completely transformed showing off the original exposed brick and industrial character of the building while adding salvaged pieces and custom millwork. Secret doors behind bookcases and custom printed wallpaper show the level of detail this pack took into account when designing and building out the space.
