Special CDR Meeting Approves 4 New Projects
On Tuesday July 20th, the Civic Design Review reviewed 4 new projects in the Callowhill Overlay District. These new developments will add upwards of 1,400 units of new housing and new commercial space. The Philadelphia City Planning Commission equated this to “adding a neighborhood” where currently surface parking and suburban low rise buildings exist. The population increase will be so sizable a new voting precinct will be designated.
